On the 17th of August 2024, Constitution Hill launched Women’s Month with a landmark event, the “Reflecting on Progress: South African Women in 30 Years of Democracy Gala Dinner.” This inaugural event, hosted at the historic Women’s Jail, celebrated the remarkable achievements of women who have played pivotal roles in South Africa’s transformation over the past three decades. The evening was dedicated to honoring 30 trailblazing women who have made significant contributions to the nation’s democracy, spanning from 1994 to 2024.
