His odyssey from humble beginnings to artistic eminence is a testament to resilience, passion, and an unwavering commitment to authenticity. Khuboni iBhele, also known as ‘Acupuncture,’ is a craftsman of sound, whose journey epitomizes versatility. It was in the corridors of his childhood, surrounded by the rhythms of kasi rap and the poetic cadence of artists like Maraza and Siya Shezi, that the seeds of his musical passion were sown. Inspired by the sounds reverberating through his cousin’s speakers, Khuboni iBhele began to harmonize with the melodies of his surroundings, unknowingly laying the foundation for his future in music. In the sixth grade, fueled by curiosity and a desire to explore, Khuboni iBhele embarked on a journey of lyrical discovery with three peers. What began as a playful endeavor blossomed into a fervent love affair with words and rhythm. Drawing inspiration from the mundane, Khuboni iBhele transformed everyday scripts into lyrical compositions, igniting a creative flame that would illuminate his path for years to come.
