The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, is calling on South African filmmakers, producers, editors, writers, directors, and digital storytellers to take their rightful place at the decision-making table. Nominations are now open for the Sixth Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme (PESP 6) Advisory Panel, and this is your chance to play a direct role in shaping the future of the South African film and television industry.
🎬 Your Voice Matters
The NFVF isn’t just looking for names, they’re looking for passionate, experienced individuals who live and breathe the art of storytelling. If you’ve worked in film, television, audio-visual, or digital media, your perspective is needed.
Panel members will be responsible for reviewing and recommending projects across three essential funding streams that keep our industry alive:
– Production – championing the creation of new stories and fresh talent.
– Skills Development – helping to train and mentor the next generation of creatives.
– Marketing & Distribution – ensuring South African content reaches audiences locally and globally.
🌍 Be Part of Real Industry Change
For years, filmmakers have voiced concerns about funding access, representation, and sustainable growth in the sector. Serving on this panel gives you the power to help fix those challenges from the inside. This is more than a seat, it’s a responsibility to shape the future, inspire collaboration, and open new doors for filmmakers across South Africa.
