The Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) has officially extended the entry period for the 31st annual South African Music Awards (#SAMA31) by ten days. This decision follows multiple requests from industry professionals who required additional time to finalize their submissions. Eligible musicians now have until Monday, 10 February 2025, at midnight to submit their entries.
Despite the extension, the eligibility criteria remain unchanged. Only artists who have released music between 16 April 2024 and 31 January 2025 will be considered for this year’s prestigious awards. This ensures that all musical works within the designated period are fairly evaluated for potential nomination.
Musicians and industry representatives can submit their entries through two channels:
- Online: Via the official SAMA website at www.samusicawards.co.za
- Physical Submission: Entries may be delivered to Unit 1, 152 Bram Fischer Drive, Randburg, during office hours.
The South African Music Awards remain one of the most celebrated platforms for recognizing musical excellence across various genres and categories. With the additional ten-day window, artists now have a final opportunity to ensure their work is part of this year’s competition.
For further details and submission guidelines, interested parties are encouraged to visit the official SAMA website or contact the RiSA offices directly.
