Mpama is a South African musician with a successful career spanning over two decades. She is known for her soulful vocals and her ability to blend traditional African melodies with contemporary sounds. In addition to her work as a performing artist, Aya is also an entrepreneur, having produced her own performances and managed her own music career. Aya’s musical journey began in 2002 when she enrolled for a BA Music and Drama Performance degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. It was during this time that she developed her skills as a performer and songwriter In 2005, she entered Idols SA, a South African singing competition, and achieved Top 6.
